The AI and Data Science Club provides students with the most cutting-edge and relevant skills in data science to apply in projects and competitions. Club sessions focus on hands-on machine learning projects using Python, from data preprocessing and feature engineering to building and evaluating models. Members work through real problems (diagnosing why a model fails, tuning hyperparameters, interpreting results) and apply these skills in competitions, including the Wharton High School Data Science Challenge, the Presidential AI Challenge, Kaggle, and WAICY. The club also provides free access to high-end (desktop RTX 5080s) computers and paid AI tool subscriptions (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Perplexity, etc.).
